When I visited some system integrator they were hardly using these kind of gripper, they usually make “grippers” by themself. is it generally true? The other “trend” which I don’t understand is why e.g: Robotiq went with a solution to offer a gripper with fingers, when all the other “big” names only offer the gripper blocks (fingers are accessory).
Is there a trend change in the industry? Is this trend coming from the system integrators (are they bored making their own grippers)? What do you think who would “win” in a long run these new kind of grippers or the “more versatile” old ones?Is the “general fingertip” that Robotiq or Onrobots offers are enough, or they are always customised?
What kind of gripper do you usually use? Do you use such features like OnRobot or Robotiq offers like close based on force etc.? What are the pro and cons to go for a Robotiq or Schunk gripper?
I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.
